STATEMENT
Intricate lines and textures of Port Lavaca beach. These images were inspired by award winning landscape photography, Ansel Adams. Ansel Adams' work showcased various types of textures and depth within everyday nature that came off as simple yet effective. For this project, I wanted to capture my inspiration of Ansel Adams and replicate the simplicity of his work. The black and white represents the effortless elements that photography has to offer, which helps the audience apprehend the photograph for what it's supposed to be rather than what it could be. Using black and white filters also increases the sharpness of a photograph, resulting in introducing the various textures of the beach.
